What parents control
- Kids — one profile per child; one shared channel list with per-kid switches, per-kid screen time, and devices dedicated to a kid or shared
- Content Sources — manage YouTube and network shares together, with access for everyone or selected children. Browse the YouTube community directory, or import & share whitelists
- Network libraries — save an SMB2/3 connection once, then add catalog folders with their own time rates. No media server needed; playback needs your home share, not the internet
- Content groups — limit a show or collection to, say, 10 minutes of a 30-minute session. Combine YouTube sources and network catalogs, with a separate cap for each child. Usage is counted per device
- Discover with AI — describe what you want, get verified channel suggestions
- AI content screening (optional, YouTube only) — your house rules, enforced on new videos with a verdict per kid, by age, plus a deep check of the description, tags and transcript before a video first plays; bring your own key or local model
- Per-channel AI instructions — extra rules for one channel (“only the engineering builds, no prank videos”) on top of the family rules
- Screen time — sessions, breaks, blocked windows (bedtime, school hours…) with skip passes, per-kid extra-time grants, pause-for-today
